The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2016 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 92 institutes for the academic year 2016-17. This includes 22 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

- The result will be displayed
- Check and save the result
On the basis of JEE Main 2016 rank list, admission will be granted to the candidates in B.E /B Tech in engineering institutions including NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
The All India Ranks (AIR) of the candidates will be based on their JEE Main score (60 per cent weightage) and Class 12 scores (40 per cent weightage). On the basis of JEE Main 2016 rank list, admission will be granted to the candidates in B.E /B Tech in engineering institutions including NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Determination by marks acquired in Mathematics in JEE Main 2016. Hopeful with higher marks will be given better rank.
Determination by marks got in Physics in the JEE Main 2016. Competitor with higher marks will be given better rank.
Determination by aggregate standardized qualifying exam marks. Competitor with higher standardized marks will be given better rank.
Determination by finding the proportion of positive checks and negative marks. Competitor with higher supreme estimation of the proportion will be given better rank.
In case that the determination is unestimated after this standard, applicants will be given the same rank.

After the JEE Main rank list is published today, candidates can then fill-in their choices of institutions and branches in decreasing order of preference, as many as possible. Candidates will be required to lock their choices otherwise the system will automatically lock the choice last saved by students. In the process of seat allocation, once seats are allocated to students, they’d need to pay the prescribed fee for seat acceptance and report at any centre to verify their documents.
